About Adiyaman
Adiyaman is a province in south-central Turkey. The province was created in 1954 out of part of Malatya Province.
It covers an area of 7,614 km² and has a population of 623,811 (2000 census). Its capital is Adiyaman.
Nemrud Dagi is a major site of interest in the province, noted for its sanctuary of statues built by Antiochus Theos, king of Commagene.
